Operations Technical Product Owner

JUPITER, FL

Voloridge is expanding its operations team with an Operations Technical Product Owner who will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The Operations Technical Product Owner will collaborate with the stakeholders and operations team to document and prioritize requirements for work by our external software vendors. Our trading and operations groups utilize a mix of internal and external software to manage a high breadth and volume of trades across multiple funds.  Candidates should have experience as a Product Owner or have hands on experience working in an operations role at a financial institution.  Knowledge of development processes and relational database frameworks is a plus.  This is a hands-on role requiring a desire to dig-into the details and document everything.

Summary of Job Functions 

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of workflows of trading and other operations teams
  • Learn the capabilities of software products for current and potential vendors
  • Collaborate with COO and operations management on overall strategic roadmap and prioritization
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings and work with system stakeholders to define and document user requirements
  • Attend periodic stand-ups to provide clarity on stories or identify stories needing additional refinement
  • Help prioritize production needs in the product backlog for the development team, according to business value
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure successful software deliverables
  • Develop, lead, and execute release activities, including clear and detailed plans or checklists for testing and roll-out

Minimum Requirements 

  • Degree from a 4 year accredited program
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, and MS Project
  • Working knowledge of database intensive software applications
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work daily on site in our Jupiter, Florida office

Preferred Skills and Previous Experience 

  • Experience as a Product Owner
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline highly preferred
  • Experience writing requirements and acceptance criteria in an enterprise software development team
  • Experience with developing software in any language
  • Familiar with operational platforms like SS&C, Eze, S3, Factset, Bloomberg, Sungard, FIS, Charles River, Portware, Flextrade, Enfusion, or Tradar/Eze
