We are seeking a QA Engineer is a developer who is passionate about quality. They explore every avenue of attack and continuously search for weakness in our software. To this end, the engineer must be able to design and implement the tools and frameworks necessary to support rapid and comprehensive development of automated tests. The engineer will be responsible for participating in a fast-paced environment of continuous delivery of software. The engineer will own testing infrastructure and environments and work with the other engineers to increase the pace of software release to production environments in a continuous integration and continuous delivery process. As a key member in a small organization you will have direct access to the entire universe of users, developers, and stakeholders for the software you oversee.

Summary of Job Functions 

  • While working with in an Agile environment, you will work with Developers, Technical Product Owners and Users to identify proper and effective testing strategies 
  • Consistently contribute to and improve the test automation infrastructure and increase test coverage of all software 
  • Work with development to ensure the smooth promotion of software from check-in to deployment 
  • Document and track test plans, cases, and test execution statistics 
  • Advocate TDD and other quality-first patterns and practices across technical teams 
  • Participate in code reviews to identify key quality impacts 
  • Perform performance and scalability testing in conjunction with development 
  • Advise Users on UAT strategies and scenarios for new functionality being released

Minimum Requirements

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar area
  • 5+ years of experience working in software development and test automation at the Unit and Service API level
  • Deep knowledge of automation libraries and unit test frameworks
  • Experience with applications involving relational database technology
  • Experience in C#, Python or other similar languages
  • Able to read and understand software code to assist in root cause analysis and join code reviews

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with the Microsoft Technology stack
  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins
  • Performance testing experience
  • Experience using Functional Languages
  • High level mathematics, statistics or data analysis methods
