System Administrator

JUPITER, FL

Summary of Job Functions 

Under the general direction of the Senior System Administrator, the System Administrator performs a variety of technical tasks in the area of computer systems and networks:

  • Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
  • Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications/equipment
  • Provides technical support and guidance to users
  • Responsible for the analysis of hardware and software in a distributed networking environment utilizing network management and monitoring software and systems
  • Prepare and follow department documentation and procedures
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support as necessary to support all user desktop environments including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VMs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or another related field
  • 5+ years managing a vSphere vCenter environment
  • 5+ years set up and troubleshooting of Windows Server systems & associated applications
  • 3+ years’ experience managing Business Continuity\Disaster Recovery\Backup solutions
  • Experience with datacenter hardware and cabling
  • Management of shared storage systems (iSCSI/Fiber Channel)
  • Advanced TCP/IP knowledge - routing/subnetting/dns/dhcp & troubleshooting network issues
  • Windows Desktop Support and applications deployment\troubleshooting

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Linux experience in a professional/corporate setting, specifically Ubuntu/Debian, RHEL/CentOS
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure specifically VMWare Horizon
  • Experience in Finance Industry desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
