Sage Systems Accountant
We are seeking a Sage Systems Accountant to specialize in managing and optimizing our Sage accounting software. This role will be project-based, focusing on creating and running reports, developing dashboards, researching and integrating additional software with Sage, and documenting accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting technology, data analysis, and system implementation.
Summary of Job Functions:
Sage System Management & Reporting
- Develop, generate, and analyze financial and operational reports using Sage
- Create customized dashboards to support business decision-making and financial transparency
- Maintain and improve Sage system configurations to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities
Software Integration & Process Improvement
- Research, evaluate, and implement additional software solutions that integrate with Sage
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to ensure seamless software adoption and functionality
- Optimize and automate financial workflows within Sage for enhanced efficiency
Documentation, Training & Compliance
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of accounting system procedures, reports, and integrations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices
- Train finance team members on best practices for using Sage software and related tools
- Train managers on the Sage system for approving invoices, reviewing budget-to-actuals for their department, and creating personalized dashboards tailored to their needs
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or another related field
- 3+ years of experience working with Sage accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, dashboard creation, and data analysis
- Experience with software research, integration, and implementation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Preferred Skills and Previous Experience:
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 300, or other Sage ERP solutions
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
- Previous experience in systems accounting, automation, or process optimization
