Associate Tax Accountant

JUPITER, FL

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Associate Tax Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting department. In this dynamic position, you will play a key role in both tax-related functions and accounts payable processes.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in tax accounting along with expertise in accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely processing of all invoices, and multiple tax returns as well as financial record keeping and reporting. They must be detail-oriented, have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and have a keen understanding of the financial industry. A strong work ethic and sense of ownership are needed to shine in a fast-paced quantitative environment.

Summary of Job Functions 

  • Assist with tax accounting activities including reviewing K-1’s, preparing/distributing tax forms (1099, W-8/W-9), and checking fund tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Investigate internal/external tax inquiries (such as tax implications and filing requirements), handle investor tax queries (including due diligence requests), and research/review tax-related language in investor side letters.
  • Verify the correct approval and timely processing of accounts payable transactions (including invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions), reconcile accounts and address inquiries within a multi-entity framework involving allocations.
  • Conduct research and resolve account payables discrepancies related to agreement terms, market prices, and payment status. This involves negotiating with vendors and communicating resolutions to relevant parties.
  • Manage spreadsheets, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and continually improve processes.
  • Deliver ad-hoc requests accurately, maintain detailed procedure documents and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years accounting experience.
  • The ability to work daily, on-site in our Jupiter office.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat experience.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines.

  • Sage Intacct experience
